Honest Marketing

There is a common saying that all marketers are liars. Now you can make your own judgment about that but I thought I’d throw a spanner in the works today.
I saw possibly one of the most amazingly honest marketing attempts in a while. Brute honesty is some what non-existent but there is always something that takes you by surprise.
Check out this listing for an old washing machine.
And now look how much this peice of junk is going for. There may still be room for some honest marketing yet!

I know sometimes it seems that there is not much honesty in the marketing world. What with everyone raising the bar on what grabs attention, and so many people vying for your look. I think many times the use of adjectives is miss appropriated (heehee my 5th grade english teacher would be proud).
But I happily can report I have come across many honest marketers.
And remember, if you purchase a product on line….most times (be sure before you purchase) you can give the crud back and only keep the good stuff.

There are of course many honest marketers out there. But even those who offer refunds only really do this because they know that the majority of buyers can’t be bothered returning the crud anyway.. no matter how crappy the product. So even when they seem to be honest, that too, is just another use of miss appropriated adjectives!
